Aidy Bryant, star of Saturday Night Live and co-creator/actor of Shrill, has signed an overall deal with Universal Television.
Bryant, who joined the cast of the long-running NBC comedy-variety series for her 10th season last month, will create and produce projects for the studio.
Shrill, which she co-created, starred in, wrote, directed, and executive produced for Hulu, recently concluded its third season. Lorne Michaels’ Broadway Video and Elizabeth Banks’ Brownstone Productions collaborated on the comedy, which was distributed by Warner Bros. Television.
Bryant will now concentrate on NBCUniversal’s studio’s projects.
