The handsome and debonair Winston Duke is featured in this months Esquire Magazine. Duke captured our attention as M’baku in Black Panther. Although he was new to us, Black Panther was just one stop on his journey. Currently fans can catch him starring alongside Lupita Nyong’o in Jordan Peele’s horror film, Us. Next, he’ll reprise his role as M’baku in Avengers: Endgame.
As Duke becomes a leading man on the rise in Hollywood, he’s starting to have his pick at roles. In this issue of Esquire, Duke shares his eagerness to lend his talents to projects “that are in conversation with larger social issues.”
“My mother constantly reminded me that the race is not for the swift, but for those who can endure to the end,” Duke says. “That’s something I’ve carried with me through coming to this country and entering this industry. My ultimate goal is to last to the end.”
