With social media being one of the most popular platforms for aspiring models, it made perfect sense for MiLK Management (UK), Natural Models (USA) and Bella (Australia), plus size publication SLiNK magazine and lingerie brand Sculptresse by Panache to team up in an effort to find the next great plus size model.
The search was open to women all over the world of any dress size 12 to 26 giving a nod to the success of the likes of Tess Holliday.
After receiving over 6000 entries, one fresh-faced model emerged the winner and her name is Brielle Cunningham.
“I entered ICMS because I wanted the opportunity to launch my career as a model & entertainer. It’s very difficult to get started in those industries when you don’t have the right people to back you up,” shared Brielle Cunningham. “I moved from Baltimore to Los Angeles to make things happen! So I definitely didn’t want to quit. That’s when I stumbled upon ICMS and here we are now. It’s so awesome!”
Brielle, a size 20 plus size model from LA appears on the cover of SLiNK’s Christmas issue. “The Inspiration Issue” celebrates women doing it for themselves and striving to achieve together. As part of Brielle’s prize, she will sign up with MiLK, Natural Models and Bella, giving her instant access to a wealth of modelling clients and an exciting career ahead. She’ll also front the Sculptresse by Panache lingerie campaign in 2016.
“Brielle was absolutely amazing to work with. We wanted the shoot to reflect the fact that this was a celebration and the start of what we hope will be a glittering career for Brielle,” shared Rivkie Baum, Editor of SLiNK magazine. “She worked really well with our team and by the end didn’t really need direction, she was working it like a pro… and those cheek bones! We are really excited that we have found a size 20 model too. In the UK finding larger models is really difficult so the fact that we can end 2015 with Brielle is great!”
