Plus Size Blogger Tanesha Awasthi Launches A New Clothing Line For Curvy Girls
Tanesha Awasthi of the blog Girl With Curves launched her first full collection and it’s on point. I love the cuts, styles and the simplicity of the designs. It’s very classic and does provide wardrobe staple pieces. I would love for her to add some color in the upcoming collections, but for right now, it’s definitely on trend.
We had an opportunity to chat with Tanesha about her new collection, the inspiration behind the collection and what’s next for this Girl With Curves.
Why did you start your own collection. What was your inspiration?
I think there’s a major void in plus size fashion. Few brands offer classic, sophisticated-chic wardrobe options with a fashion-forward-edge. That’s what I’m trying to accomplish with my label, accessible luxury to last through seasonal trends.
Is your collection a reflection of your own style and how do you decide which items are considered basics?
Completely! I think I started designing my dream wardrobe, until I realized I needed to appeal to women with various lifestyle needs, in terms of fashion, so I decided to incorporate what I consider the basics: tee’s, sweatshirts for now and much more to come!
When you started your blog, Girl With Curves, what were your goals and have you met those goals?
I started the blog as a creative outlet/hobby, with no intention of making it into a brand or a business. After some time, I did set some goals and it’s amazing to be able to accomplish goals and cross the off my list as time goes on. I’m humbled to be able to help women through fashion and to do what I love.
It’s obvious that Tanesha Awasthi is passionate about this new collection. The Fall and Holiday collections play with lengths and even include popular trends like hi-low dresses and tops, skater dresses, and crop tops. The price points are what I would say are mid to normal range for designer collections ($55-195). The Holiday collection is on pre-order while you can outright purchase the Fall items.
