Everyone knows that as the weather gets cooler, our hair and skin gets drier and requires more attention to keep it nourished from the inside out. The following is a list of some all natural products that will have your hair and skin looking and feeling amazing THIS Fall, so come on give em a try!

We’ve all heard of the benefits of incorporating oils such as coconut and olive oil into our beauty regimen but let’s talk more about the three all natural oils that we may be missing out on.

Grapeseed Oil

Is a hypoallergenic odorless, colorless moisturizer for your skin and hair that can be used by anyone, even children. It has vitamin E, linoleic acid, minerals and proteins that are essential for healthy hair growth and is easily absorbed into the skin so you don’t have to worry about feeling greasy. The linoleic acid is beneficial for acne, dry skin and even allergic reactions due to its proven anti-inflammatory properties.

To apply to the skin use only a few drops on the face as needed. Grapeseed oil can be used as your natural hair conditioner and even for hot oil treatments to increase strength and shine to your hair. To use as a hot oil treatment, you can apply on on your hair and scalp and wrap a warm, damp towel around your head for 30 minutes then rinse off with your shampoo. Because it is so light it is easily absorbed into the scalp and is able to coat the hair cuticles delivering much needed moisture to dry damaged hair.

Almond Oil

The benefits of almond oil are amazing, but I will try to contain it to the categories of hair and skin for this article! This oil is also light and is often used in aromatherapy because it has a sweet pleasant scent. It is packed with magnesium, vitamins A, B & C, all vitamins that help restore moisture to the skin and body and help aid in healing. It is known to improve the complexion, relieve dry, cracked and irritated skin, reverse the signs of aging and even aids in restoring hair’s thickness. You can use almond oil as a substitute to shine enhancers and leave-in conditioners.

Avocado Oil

This oil is excellent for mature skin and very dry damaged hair. It contains vitamins A, B, D & E, lecithin, beta carotene, potassium, folic acid and more than 20% essential unsaturated fatty acids. It is also easily absorbed deep into the skin and is high in sterolins which is known to moisturize and rehydrate the skin as well as reduce age spots and sun damage. Avocado oil can help to regenerate softer skin and relieve itching associated with psoriasis and eczema. Because it is so lightweight and packed with so many nutrients, avocado oil is excellent for moisturizing dry, brittle, and damaged hair and even works as a humectant and natural SPF. To promote a healthier scalp and hair, use it with your shampoo, as a conditioner or even a sealant.
