We’ve already fallen in love with plus size retailer Evans. Their clothing is hot, but this news is even hotter!
Next Tuesday on September 16h, clothing from Evans will hit the catwalk during London Fashion Week, which is a first!
The U.K. based retailer will be showing off their Spring/Summer 2015 collection, as well as reworked designs from members of their Design Collective collection; a collaboration between the fashion label and a number of designers including Vita Gottlieb, Giles Deacon, Jamie Wei Huang and Lulu Liu. Fashion from the winners of the 2014 Cut for Evans contest (a competition for young fashion students), will also be featured.
“We’ve always believed that fashion should be accessible whatever your size. We want to move beyond being seen as a plus-size retailer; it’s fashion first for us,” shared Evans brand director Fiona Ross.
The show will be hosted by Evans parent company Arcadia Group’s CEO, Sir Philip Green.
This is an exciting time in the plus fashion industry and although it may not feel like it, I tell you, we’re definitely making strides from shore to shore. Can’t wait to see what Evans has in-store for next weeks show.
