In addition to having a successful career as a gospel singer, Tamela has appeared in several Tyler Perry plays, movies and television shows including What’s Done In The Dark, Meet The Browns and House Of Payne.
We’ve been Tamela Mann fans for many years so to see her get the recognition that she deserves after years of hard work is such an inspirational story of staying focused and having faith.
In a 2012 interview with DailyVenusDiva.com, Tamela shared that she gets her inspiration from the people around her.
I don’t have a certain artist that I follow. Even in the Gospel music industry I just listen to everybody. I had Paster Winans at the house a few months ago and during lunch we were listening to the Sirius XM Praise station. As I was singing he said, “Lord! you’re singing everybody’s song.”
2014 is turning into a great year for the Texas born singer. Tamela and her husband David Mann are one of three couples featured on the February cover of Ebony Magazine.
