Our Features Editor Cassandra McBryde Was Honored For Her Influence By Heineken
A few months ago I was invited to accompany our Features Editor Cassandra Jones-McBryde to an award ceremony honoring 25 of the most influential women in Detroit. The event was sponsored by Heineken and their goal was to celebrate locally based women who serve, represent, inform and entertain people in their communities. Regarded as being powerful and full of positivity, each of the honorees make a difference through their accomplishments on a daily basis.
Cassandra received the award because of her commitment to the empowerment and positive development of women and girls of every size, internationally and specifically in Detroit. In addition to her work with DailyVenusDiva.com, she’s also the Executive Producer of the International Fuller Woman Expo in the US, the Founder of the Fuller Woman Network, co-founder and CEO of the Pretty Girl Project, a non-profit organization for girls in the city of Detroit. Furthering her commitment to women, Cassandra is the Executive Board Member of Sisters Acquiring Financial Empowerment (SAFE), non-profit organization that helps women achieve financial stability while transitioning from lives affected by domestic violence.
Although her reach transcends the metropolitan Detroit area, she is focused on addressing the needs of the women and girls in her beloved city.
Congratulations to Cassandra and all of the honorees.
