10 Ways To Get Out Of A Funk


For the past week or so, the weather in Philadelphia has been very Florida-like in some ways; rainy and muggy, then sunny and bright.  Sometimes when it is gloomy out, I find myself in a funk wishing for brighter warmer days and daydreaming of laying on a beach somewhere.

For this Spirited issue of DVD, I wanted to share with you some quick ways to help you get out of a funk when you are having one of those days.

1.) Pray – God is always there to listen.
2.) Journal Write in Silence – Release it all on paper then throw it
out, it works!
3.) Think about 5 – 10 things you are grateful for and write them down.
4.) Get up and go for a quick walk, even if this means leaving your
desk and quickly walking to the ladies room….get moving!
5.) Listen to music, preferably something upbeat.
6.) Light a Scented Candle.
7.) Clean & Organize your work space or closet.
8.) Put on some lipstick, flavored lip balm or hand lotion.
9.) Get a pedicure, massage or manicure.
10.) Smile, they are contagious and very attractive.
