Who doesn’t love the summertime. The days are longer, the weather is warmer and there’s so much to do. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wished I could escape work during the summer and take a summer vacation (like the kids) but I’m a grown up and bills need to be paid.
So how can I, a 9 to 5 diva enjoy the warmer months?
Enjoy the festivals
One of the great things about summer is the endless amounts of music and art festivals that are available. Grab your friends and a blanket and enjoy some outdoor festival fun.
Do a DIY Project
DIY projects are a great way to stay busy. Especially if you’re looking for something to do. From scrapbooking to making jewelry, DIY projects allows your creative juices to flow while using various skills.
Host a Yard Sale
We all have things we could sale. I know I do. If you’re been looking for a chance to get rid of that dress that you no longer wear from 4 seasons ago, sell it at a yard sale. Spend a week to gather everything together and before summer ends, have a massive sale.
After a long work week, relaxation may be exactly what the doctor ordered. Turn off your phone and television. Log off of Facebook and take some time to unwind and reflect on your thoughts. You’ll be happy you did.
I promise, there’s nothing like it!
