I received this as a birthday gift but it’s super creative which makes it a thoughtful gift idea for Mother’s Day. I’m going to do something similar for my mom.
My mom wrote me a poem, which I never knew she was a writer. So this is a very sentimental gift. She printed the poem on very nice stationary and then found a beautiful frame for it.
What I’m going to do for her is put together some of her favorite pictures of myself and my daughter, shape them into the word “Mom” and frame it. For the frame what I like to do is go to the arts and crafts store or the Dollar store, get one of the most basic frames and then add my own creative touches with embellishments and/or paint. It’s simple and easy and it doesn’t take too much time but the thought and creativity behind it makes it priceless.
I found some great framing tops on the following website: http://www.homemadesimple.com/en-US/homedecor/Pages/creative-framing-and-display-techniques.aspx. One great idea is to use pages of your favorite magazine. Another idea was to remove the glass from the frame. Regardless of which method you use, make sure you have fun.
I hope you have a great Mother’s Day.
