Body acceptance blogs

Body acceptance blogs hold a special place in my heart. I’ve always been a plus size girl and the journey towards loving myself has been a difficult one at times. As I get older it becomes easier but like any woman I relapse from time to time. When I need an extra self-esteem booster, I lean on you, the readers of and a group of talented writers. Body acceptance blogs are integral to the plus size movement because they help is work on loving ourselves from the inside out.

The following body acceptance blogs are some of my favorites.

Body Love WellnessBody Love Wellness is one of the first blogs that caught my attention in 2009. Golda Poretsky started Body Love Wellness because she wanted to empower plus sized women to live their best, most joyful lives, free of stress and shame over what they eat and what they weigh.

The Rotund Marianne Kirby is on a mission to let you know that fat people are not your enemy. And skinny people aren’t your enemy either.  On The Rotund Marianne unpacks society’s standards of beauty, the oppression of the dominant social paradigm when it comes to body conformity, and she talks about clothes.

Fierce, Freethinking FattiesFierce, Freethinking Fatties (known as Triple F) puts their readers in control. They’re allowing people to walk their path at their own pace by respecting everyone’s path to Fat Acceptance. Atchka, the head blogger at Triple F allows other bloggers to share their thoughts as well.

Dances With Fat– Ragen Chastain started her blog Dances With Fat when she realized that there were people who believed that if they couldn’t get skinny they should hate themselves. She is a believer of HAES (Health at Every Size) and she considers learning to love herself her greatest accomplishment. Talk about paying such a great message forward.

These are just a few of the blogs that I lean on for daily pep talks. All of the blogs mentioned are sincere in their messages of loving yourself in the skin that you’re in. Go ahead and visit their websites. I’m sure you’ll become a fan and a friend.
