It has been a year since we learned on Twitter that Vera Wang was designing a more affordable line of her glorious wedding gowns for David’s Bridal. Since the retailer carried plus size gowns, we wondered if we would be so lucky. It was a dream come true, plus size Vera Wang wedding gowns and bridesmaid’s dresses were available from sizes 16 to 26 in selected styles. There is something for every aspiring Vera Wang bride and budget.

When Glamour magazine featured bridal makeovers by Vera Wang in their annual Men’s issue in 2011, there was a bride wearing a size 16 White by Vera Wang gown.  Hallelujah! Curvy Brides no longer have to imagine the day when they could fit into the Vera Wang wedding gown of their dreams. The dresses were pure Vera Wang with unique hand cut details; a wide range of quality fabrics; and enticing colors like soft white, ivory, champagne, and blush.

The dresses at New York Bridal Fashion Week this fall were all about elegance, from stunning necklines to backlines with real wow factor, there was something for every bride’s style. We have more great news….a new White by Vera Wang collection launches in this month: a month bursting with love and full of wedding proposals. The collection offers an inspiring variety of styles and range from $600 to $1500.

According to the celebrity queen of bridal, Vera Wang believes all brides fall into one of several style categories — individualist, minimalist, modernist, romanticist and traditionalist. Vera delivers on all fronts with her second White by Vera Wang collection for David’s Bridal. For brides interested in keeping up with the Kardashians, the spirit of the gowns she created for Kim lives on in the collection despite her short lived marriage. The collection features two Kim Kardashian inspired gowns: the fairytale princess dress with a full tulle skirt Kim wore during her lavish ceremony and the tight-fitting dress with a fluffy, layered skirt she wore during the reception.

Wearing two different dresses on your wedding day is a growing trend in bridal style. The hottest way to work this trend is with the LWD “little white dress” which is the shorter and sexier sister to the wedding gown. White by Vera Wang doesn’t disappoint with this satin faced organza short dress with lace appliqué, tulle overlay, and sweetheart neckline.

So for all you Vera Wang devotees, make an appointment to see what the White Collection has for you.
