Diabetes is a very serious matter so when The Daily reported that Paula Deen had a secret that involved her having type 2 Diabetes, a number of rumors began to surface. One rumor in particular involved her signing a deal to endorse a diabetes medication from major pharmaceuticals company Novartis. Although there is nothing wrong with using your celebrity voice to encourage and help others, according to the Huffington Post, the Novartis rumor is not true.
Diabetes often goes undiagnosed because many of its symptoms seem so harmless. Recent studies indicate that the early detection of diabetes symptoms and treatment can decrease the chance of developing the complications of diabetes.
