When searching for enjoyable activities to do during your spring break, the possibilities might seem limited if you are not able to travel out of town. Even if your family is not able to take a weeklong vacation this year, there are still quite a few adventures you can have around your city.

Sleepover

PJ parties still rock the house! Get ready for popcorn, DVDs, pillow fights and lots of gossip. No matter what age you are, sleepovers are always a hit!

Be A Mallrat

Have a girl’s day at the mall. Try on tons of clothes and check out all the latest beauty products – some places even give free make-overs. If you’re cash-strapped, head to your local thrift shop and amaze your friends with your cheap finds.

Have A Gaming Party

Go and catch one of the latest movies. Whether it’s The Spiderwick Chronicles, Be Kind, Rewind, or 27 Dresses, spring break is a great time to head to the theater and catch a cheap matinee.

Get Wet

There’s got to be a a public swimming pool around town somewhere. It may not be Mexico, but it’s not half bad. Brush up on your backstroke, your butterfly and your front crawl. Lounge around in the hot tub and go for a spin on the slide

Head Out Into The Community

Check out what’s happening at your community center during spring break. From dances to sports, it’s the place to be. Many community centers have schedules you can pick up ahead of time telling you all about the events planned for that month. Sign up for classes early as they often get filled up. Plus, they’ll usually have some cool volunteer opportunities that you might wanna add to your resume.

Hit The Slopes

Spring break is the perfect time to go skiing or boarding with friends at your local mountain before the season ends and you’re waiting ’til next winter rolls around.
